About the Course Bentwater Golf Club is a stunning parkland-style course designed by Mike Dasher, offering nearly 7,000 yards from the back tees. Opened in 2000, it showcases breathtaking views of Red Top Mountain, along with a variety of ponds, creeks, and wetlands that weave through each hole. The course’s natural beauty combined with its thoughtfully designed layout provides an enjoyable challenge for golfers of all skill levels. Significant investments in course upgrades have further enhanced the experience, including tree removal for better sightlines, renovated cart paths, improved bunkers, and a reimagined practice area.

Tournament ScheduleBentwater Golf Club hosts a dynamic tournament schedule throughout the year, offering a mix of casual and competitive events for all members. Key events include the Augusta Par 3 Event, the Bentwater Ladies Classic, the Men’s and Ladies Club Championships, and the Crème of the Crop Tournament. There are also fun and social tournaments such as the Drives and Wives events, the Independence Day Tournament, and the Turkey Tournament. Tournaments are designed to engage members of all skill levels, with specific points events for MGA members. All major tournaments are reserved for full-access golf members​​.

The MGA organizes a 9-hole “Dogfight” league every Wednesday evening, from March through October. In addition to weekly play, the MGA hosts several major tournaments throughout the year, allowing members to compete for points and prizes in a fun, competitive environment.

Senior Men’s Golf AssociationThe Senior Men’s Golf Association (SMGA) offers golfers aged 60 and older the chance to enjoy friendly competition and social interaction. The SMGA plays 18-hole rounds every Thursday morning, featuring various formats and events designed to challenge and entertain its members. It’s the perfect way for senior golfers to stay active and engaged on the course.

Lisa RogersHead Golf Professional
Lisa Rogers, a Class A PGA member and U.S. Kids Golf Certified Instructor, has been passionate about golf since picking up a club at age 2, inspired by her father. She played on her high school’s boys’ team and fulfilled her dream of competing at a Division I university before turning professional in 1995. Lisa’s love for teaching began when she helped run a junior summer camp, sparking a lifelong dedication to coaching. With over 25 years of teaching experience, Lisa focuses on swing fundamentals and creating a fun, safe environment for golfers of all levels, especially beginners, juniors, and women.
